Refund & Cancellation Policy

Payments and Merchant of Record
YT Scholar sells subscriptions through Paddle, our payment provider and Merchant of Record. When you subscribe, Paddle handles the transaction, taxes, and billing. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Card details are entered with and processed entirely by Paddle — we never see or store them.
Cancelling your subscription
- You can cancel any time from Settings → Account → Cancel Plan in the extension, which opens Paddle's secure customer portal.
- When you cancel, your paid plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. It does not end immediately.
- After that date your account reverts to the Free plan. Your notes, bookmarks, and other content are unaffected by the plan change.
- Cancelling stops future charges. To avoid being billed for the next period, cancel before your renewal date (shown in Settings → Account).
Refunds
- If a technical problem prevents you from using the paid features you were charged for, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will make it right — including a refund where appropriate.
- Other refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. Because subscriptions are billed for a period of access rather than one-off goods, we generally do not refund for partial use of a period already started; you keep access through the end of that period after cancelling.
- Refunds, when granted, are issued to the original payment method via Paddle.
Price changes
Subscription pricing is shown at the time of purchase. If we change a plan's price, the change does not affect a billing period you have already paid for. If you do not agree with a new price, you can cancel before your next renewal.
