1. Service Description

YTScholar is a Chrome browser extension that provides learning tools for YouTube, including distraction control, note-taking, AI-generated study materials, course management, and data export features.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using YTScholar, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • Core features work without an account. An account is required for AI features, cloud sync, and exports.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use YTScholar.

4. Subscription & Billing

  • The Free plan includes limited AI generations and exports per month at no cost.
  • Pro and Max plans are billed monthly. Prices are displayed at time of purchase.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • After cancellation, you revert to the Free plan. All local data is preserved.
  • AI and export credits reset monthly and do not roll over.
  • Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support within 7 days of purchase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use YTScholar for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code
  • Abuse the AI feature by sending malicious or excessive requests
  • Share your account or subscription with others
  • Interfere with the extension's infrastructure or services

6. Intellectual Property

YTScholar and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by YTScholar and protected by intellectual property laws. Your notes, bookmarks, and other user-generated content remain yours.

7. Limitation of Liability

YTScholar is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and should be verified independently.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the extension or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
